SGU Medicine Introduces Merit Scholarship for Global Students
St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, is delighted to announce the introduction of a merit-based scholarship exclusively designed for its international students. The SGU Academic Award is a newly established initiative applicable to all incoming international students, and the selection is based on their academic performance upon acceptance.
This academic merit scholarship is an additional opportunity for incoming international students, complementing the existing International Peace Bursary and Global Scholars Bursary. Eligible students have the potential to qualify for multiple awards. Grounded in anticipated academic achievements, the merit-based scholarship aims to recognize and reward the outstanding academic accomplishments of students.
Upon acceptance, SGU will issue a scholarship letter outlining the distribution of the scholarship per term and providing an estimated breakdown of total fees, encompassing tuition, accommodation, and some associated living expenses. The deduction of the scholarship/grants will result in the final amount, offering a clear estimate of the financial requirements for the subsequent academic terms.
Highlighting the significance of education in shaping the future of healthcare, SGU emphasizes its commitment to learning opportunities. The expanded awards portfolio signifies the university’s dedication to supporting students comprehensively, extending beyond academics to address the individual needs of applicants and their families. As stated by the university, this commitment reflects its recognition of the crucial role education plays in shaping the future of healthcare and its active investment in providing well-rounded support to students.
