JEE Main 2025 Session 2: Response Sheet & Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Response Sheet and Answer Key. This is great news for students who appeared for the exam, as they can now check the answers they marked, compare them with the official answer key, and estimate their scores before the final result is declared.

But before we go further, let’s understand what JEE Main is and why it matters so much.

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main) is a national-level entrance exam organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency). It is one of the most important exams for students who want to pursue engineering and technology courses in India. Through JEE Main, students can get admission to prestigious institutions like:

  • NITs (National Institutes of Technology)

  • IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology)

  • Other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs)

Additionally, JEE Main Admit Card also acts as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance test for admission into the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).

In short, JEE Main 2025 is a gateway to some of the top engineering colleges in India, and performing well in this exam opens doors to excellent academic and career opportunities.

The JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 was held in April. Now, NTA has released two important things:

1. Response Sheet – This shows the answers you marked during the exam.

2. Answer Key – This shows the correct answers for each question.

What is Marks vs Percentile in JEE Mains 2025?

If you’re preparing for JEE Mains 2025, you’ve probably come across the terms “marks” and “percentile.” While they may seem similar, they are very different and understanding them is important to know your actual performance in the exam.

 Marks in JEE Mains

Marks are the total number of points you score based on your correct and incorrect answers.
In the JEE Main 2025 paper, there are 90 questions (for B.E./B.Tech), and the marking scheme is:

  • +4 marks for every correct answer

  • –1 mark for every incorrect answer

  • 0 marks for unanswered questions

So, the total marks in JEE Mains 2025 are 300.

What is Percentile in JEE Mains?

Percentile is not your actual marks. It shows how well you performed compared to other students.

If your percentile is 95, it means you scored better than 95% of students who appeared in the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) uses a formula to calculate percentile, based on how many students appeared in your exam session (shift) and how you performed compared to them.

This method is used because JEE Mains is held in multiple sessions (shifts), and questions may vary slightly in difficulty.

JEE Mains 2025 Marks vs Percentile Table (Expected)
